Four Decades Of Character Acting Work And Improv
With over 40 years of experience crafting theatre of the mind across radio and TV, I arrive to every voice acting job with a skillset that takes a lifetime to pull together.
My first jobs putting radio promos and campaigns together for pirate radio in the 80s gave me an intensive course on how to construct a tight script which needs to entertain as fast as possible.
My experience producing commercials and animated dialogue from both sides of the glass have been invaluable in giving me the skills to quickly pull together scenarios and ideas into a cohesive idea.
From writing skits, getting to the core of what makes a character work and then improvising entire scenes based on a character’s core personality – I’ve become more than comfortable living and breathing an animated character live in the studio.
